Yichang Central People's Hospital

Yichang Central People's Hospital was founded in 1949. In 2003, it became one of the teaching hospitals of China Three Gorges University and established the First Clinical Medical College of China Three Gorges University. It is a comprehensive Third-grade class-A hospital, baby-friendly hospital, designated hospital of Alliance for Smiles and Network Hospital of International Emergency Rescue Center, which integrates medical treatment, prevention, health care, teaching and scientific research. In 2008, it was awarded the title of 'Third Grade Excellent Hospital' by the Provincial Health Department. In 2012, it was jointly awarded the title of 'TCM Demonstration Unit among national comprehensive hospitals' by the Ministry of Health and other ministries and commissions. In May 2012, it was designated as a hospital to be relied on to build regional medical and health centers by the Provincial Health Department and Yichang municipal government.

The hospital is comprised of two main hospitals and one branch hospital. It has 73 inpatient wards and 2,450 beds with 3,314 employees. It has 24 first grade and 53 second grade medical subjects of diagnosis and treatment respectively. Annual visits to the outpatient reached about 2.5 million and 120,000 patients were discharged.

Affiliated Renhe Hospital of China Three Gorges University, known as the Second Clinical Medical College of China Three Gorges University, is the directly affiliated hospital of China Three Gorges University. Founded in 1967, it is a comprehensive Third-grade class-A hospital under the direct management of Hubei Provincial Health Commission, which integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health care as well as rehabilitation. It is also a baby-friendly hospital and Yichang Red Cross Hospital.

The hospital is comprised of one main hospital and two branch hospitals. It has 40 inpatient wards and 845 beds with 1,127 employees. It has 25 first grade and 44 second grade medical subjects of diagnosis and treatment respectively. Annual visits to the outpatient reached about 600,000 and 30,000 patients were discharged.

It is also a baby-friendly hospital and a Network Hospital of International Emergency Rescue Center.

Yichang Central People's Hospital is the National Standardized Training Base for Resident Physicians. The hospital is comprised of one main hospital, one rehabilitation hospital and one community healthcare center. It has 17 provincial key clinical specialties, 37 municipal key clinical specialties and 3 municipal medical centers with 1,800 beds.

Yichang Second People's Hospital

(Second People's Hospital of China Three Gorges University)

Yichang Second People's Hospital was founded in 1954 and merged with the former PLA 671 Hospital in 1991. It is a Third-grade class-A hospital integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching and prevention. It is also the Clinical Research Center for Precision Therapy of Gastrointestinal Cancer in Hubei Province, and the Industrial Injury Rehabilitation Center in western Hubei.

The hospital is comprised of one comprehensive hospital, one tumor hospital and one branch hospital. It has 55 clinical and medical technology departments and 1,900 beds with 1,600 employees. Annual visits to the outpatient reached about 600,000 and 35,000 patients were discharged.
